QHCE exhaust systems are sold and shipped as off-road / track use only products. Buyer assumes full responsibility for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local emissions, noise, and roadworthiness regulations.
WHAT THIS MEANS
QHCE catback systems are catalytic-converter-aft modifications. They do not remove, bypass, or alter any factory emissions control device. The OEM catalytic converters, downpipes, and oxygen sensors remain intact and functional. There is no measurable change to tailpipe emissions output.
However, noise levels with the electronic valves open will exceed factory specification. Most US states regulate vehicle exhaust noise via local statutes typically measured at 95 dB at 50 ft (SAE J1492 / SAE J986). Operation with valves closed remains within those thresholds. Operation with valves open may not.
BUYER ACKNOWLEDGES
- This product is intended for off-road, racetrack, and closed-course use.
- Use on public roadways may violate local noise or vehicle modification ordinances.
- Buyer is solely responsible for verifying legality before installation and operation in their jurisdiction.
- QHCE makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the legality of installation or operation on public roads.
- Buyer indemnifies QHCE Exhaust Systems from any liability arising from the use of this product on public roadways.
EMISSIONS LANGUAGE
This product does not affect emissions output and is compliant with EPA standards under 40 CFR § 86.094-2 (post-cat modification provision). California (CARB) executive orders are not required for catback modifications that do not affect the OEM emissions system.
NOISE COMPLIANCE
The electronic valvetronic system gives the buyer the ability to operate the vehicle in either a quiet (valves closed) or aggressive (valves open) acoustic profile. Operating in quiet mode on public roads is the buyer’s responsibility. QHCE does not endorse, encourage, or warrant valves-open operation in noise-restricted areas.
ACCEPTANCE
By placing an order, the buyer expressly acknowledges and accepts these terms. This acceptance constitutes the entirety of QHCE’s representations regarding road-legality and the buyer waives any claim against QHCE related to citation, impoundment, or other enforcement action resulting from use of this product.
